International Women’s Day honors the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also serves as a call to action to achieve gender parity as soon as possible. However, although people globally are involved in many activities, there are simple steps we can take to make the women in our lives feel special. Simple things like promising to help out with year-round chores, cooking, meaningful co-parenting, and pampering our lovely ladies once in a while can go a long way.

To observe this special day, you can take some time out and prepare a nice meal for the special women in your life – be it your mother, sister, wife or friend. They say one way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, guess what, it’s the same for new age women. We have carefully selected some of the most delicious and delicious recipes that can be prepared quickly using only healthy ingredients. Yes! This Women’s Day, cook these delicious and mouth-watering recipes for the special women in your life using Voltas Beko’s smart and energy-efficient kitchen appliances efficiently:

Recipe n°1: Chickpea and spinach wrap

Duration: 30 mins

Serves: 1 person

Not:

  1. Season a large tortilla with sesame seeds, salt and cayenne pepper to taste
  2. Slice the egg, tomatoes and avocado and place them on the tortilla
  3. Cut the spinach leaves into pieces
  4. Mash boiled chickpeas in a bowl and add seasoning according to taste
  5. Add all the ingredients inside the tortilla
  6. Place the ingredients inside the wrap
  7. Simply roll up in an envelope!

Recipe #2: Zucchini Chocolate Bread

Duration: 1h30

For 2 to 4 people

Not:

  1. Preheat the oven to 190oC
  2. Grease a mini loaf pan with olive/coconut oil
  3. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl
  4. Stir well
  5. Pour into prepared loaf pan
  6. Bake 60 mins
  7. Take it out of the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. So serve!

Recipe #3: Layered Blueberry Coconut Smoothie

Duration: 1 hour

For: 1 to 2 people

Not:

  1. Freeze blueberries in the Voltas Beko fridge with StoreFresh™ technology. It helps you lock in the freshness of your fruits and vegetables for up to 30 days
  2. Mix 150g frozen blueberries, 60g plain fat-free Greek yoghurt and 110g coconut milk in a blender
  3. Pour into a glass
  4. Place the glass in the freezer for 20 minutes
  5. Blend 1 banana, 80g frozen blueberries, 250g plain fat-free Greek yogurt, 150g coconut milk and 15g unsweetened shredded coconut in the blender
  6. Strain and garnish on the chilled layer in the glass
  7. Place the glasses in the freezer for 15 minutes

Recipe #4: Cauliflower Crust Pizza:

Duration: 30 mins

For: 2-3 people

Not:

  1. Preheat the Voltas Beko microwave oven to 180o C
  2. Chop the cauliflower in a food processor.
  3. Place the cauliflower in a large bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 1 min until steamed
  4. Let cool and pour the cauliflower onto a clean cloth and squeeze the liquid from the cauliflower until you come away with a dry broccoli ball
  5. In a large bowl, mix the cauliflower, eggs, cheeses and seasoning with a spoon until completely combined
  6. Pour the mixture into the pre-lined baking sheet and shape like a ½ inch thick pizza crust
  7. Cook 10-12 mins
  8. Add pizza sauce and cheese
  9. Cook another 10-12 mins
  10. Leave to cool for 5 minutes before cutting
