Maybe you’re looking to get one in the next few months, or maybe you’ve already made the purchase but are out of recipe ideas, never fear.

We’ve put together a list of things you can cook in an air fryer – and some recipes for some cooking inspiration.

What you can cook in an air fryer

Air fryer potato recipes are definitely having a moment on TikTok, with people sharing their favorite creations.

Most include herbs and spices of choice – and can be ready in half an hour.

User @boredoflunch shared his own version of garlic butter, with baby new potatoes and paprika – ready in just 25 minutes.

Chicken dishes

Want to enjoy fast food style meals at home, but with a slightly healthier twist?

Cooking chicken pieces in an air fryer is a great way for easy breaded and fried options.

TikTok user @veryhungrygreek shares his version of Honey Garlic Chicken Tenders, with a cornflake coating, which can be cooked in 15 minutes.

The air fryer is perfect for getting juicy salmon with a crispy top.

A recipe on TikTok is also perfect for cooking beginners, just dab a dry salmon fillet, add Dijon mustard, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper and put it on in the fryer for 15 minutes.

Vegetables such as Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, carrots, and asparagus are great for an air fryer.

Avoid leafy greens, however.

French toast

Step up your brunch game—and don’t forget to make it hassle-free—by making French toast in the air fryer.

User @arimionika shares her technique for cinnamon French toast, which involves coating pieces of bread in an egg coating, baking for ten minutes, then covering them with a cinnamon mixture.

For a tasty new way to snack on avocado, try frying sliced pieces in an air fryer — similar to sweet potato and zucchini fries.

One recipe, from Ocado, says to slice your avocado halves into long fingers and coat them in flour seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper. Then dip the floured fingers in the beaten egg then roll them in the panko breadcrumbs. Repeat this process twice for a thick, crispy coating.

Then, place your fries in the basket and cook for seven minutes, flipping halfway through.

Mozzarella sticks

Another recipe from Ocado explains how to make your own cheese bites at home.

Simply take string cheese and coat it with seasoned flour (dried oregano, salt and pepper will do), beaten egg and then breadcrumbs, repeating the process twice. Cook for 6-7 minutes until golden brown and melted.

There you have it: homemade mozzarella sticks.
