    These easy Smarties muffins are made in just four easy steps. Made with flour, sugar, milk, eggs and a hint of vanilla extract. We used Smarties in this recipe, but you can easily exchange them for M & M’s.


    • 300g of self-rising flour

    • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

    • 110g caster sugar

    • 150g of Smarties

    • 200 ml) milk

    • 2 eggs

    • 1tsp vanilla extract

    • 80g melted butter


    • Preheat oven to 200 ° C / 400 ° F / 180 ° C fan / thermostat 6. Line a muffin tin with 12 cups.

    • In a bowl, sift together the self-rising flour, baking powder and powdered sugar. Mix through half of the candies.

    • In another bowl, combine the milk, eggs and vanilla and stir until combined. Mix with the melted butter. Pour the dry ingredients into the water and mix until they are just combined.

    • Divide among the 12 cases and scatter the remaining candies on top. Bake for 20 minutes or until well risen and firm to the touch. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
