It’s a super simple recipe that helps reduce stress. In addition to the basic ingredients mentioned above, you will need:

  • 8 to 10 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 1 cup of Epsom salts
  1. Measure and mix the ingredients

First add water to your large jar (or bowl). Then gently pour in the glycerin (or coconut oil) and Castile soap. Combine the ingredients by stirring them in the jar, avoid vigorous mixing, as this may create bubbles.

This is your basic bubble bath recipe. Set it aside while you draw your bath.

  2. Add soothing ingredients

While you are filling your tub with lukewarm water, add Epsom salts and lavender oil to the bath. Once the salts have dissolved, add half of your homemade bubble bath mixture (a little over a cup, the amount doesn’t have to be exact).

If you wait until the tub is close enough to your desired level and add the bubble bath mixture, you will get the most bubbles.

  3. Set the mood

Since the emphasis here is on a relaxing bath, set the mood by lighting candles or dimming the light in your bathroom. Low light can really help you feel calmer.

Make sure you have everything you need: a homemade face mask, a loofah for scrubbing, and a towel to wipe your hands off if you want to read a book or magazine.

  4. Enjoy your bubble bath

Relax in the bath for at least 10 minutes to enjoy the benefits of the bath, but feel free to extend it for 20 to 30 minutes if you wish.
