Insight editions’ Star Wars: Galactic Pastry draws its inspiration from Star wars galaxy for sweet treats. The cookbook recreates spaceships as delicious desserts. It uses the environments of different planets to illuminate recipes, such as Mustafarian Molten Lava Cakes. Whether you are a pastry Padawan or a Jedi chef, Star Wars: Galactic Pastry has recipes for your skill level. And Nerdist has two exclusive recipes from the upcoming cookbook to share with you today. They are at either end of the easy to difficult spectrum. The most complex recipe is this cute cake like a button R2-D2. I am sorry, ice cream cake.
As you can see in the recipe above (click to enlarge the image), your main concern is baking the cake and decorating it. You will use store bought ice cream. However, if you want to be ambitious and make your own ice cream, go for it. Bonus points if you use a vintage ice cream maker like this Willrow Hood wears through the halls of Cloud City in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
If you want to try your hand at something simpler, make TIE Fighter Ice Cream Sandwiches.
This Star wars The recipe for the ice cream sandwich includes handmade cookies that serve as wings for TIE fighters. You use Nutella for light decorations around the edges. And that’s my kind of decoration. In fact, I rate this recipe as the easiest just because of the minimal decoration.
Star Wars: Galactic Pastry arrives May 4, 2021, aka Star wars Day. You can pre-order now.
